Not only is the 2019 Ford F-250 lighter than its predecessor, but it's also stronger too. When engineers designed the new F-250, they wanted to simultaneously reduce its weight and retain its strength. To achieve this seemingly impossible feat, they built the truck out of a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy that not only reduces body weight but provides the vehicle with more durability.
Performance
The 2019 Ford F-250 is standard equipped with a high-tech 6.2-liter V-8 engine. This motor is engineered to deliver peak torque at lower RPM ranges and still generate a high amount of torque throughout the midrange of the power band. Changing the peak torque output of the engine allows the truck to tow large loads and provides more power when off-roading. The Ford 6.20-liter engine features the Ford Torqshift G 6-speed automatic transmission that increases power response and allows for smoother shifting as you drive around Dunnellon.
Available is a 450-horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque is the Power Stroke Turbo Diesel 6.7-liter V-8 engine. The Power Stroke features a unique inverse-flow configuration that increases efficiency and power. The unique inverse flow configuration achieves this by the exhaust manifold and turbocharger mounted above the engine block, allowing for a larger turbo to be mounted closer to the exhaust manifolds. A larger turbo allows for faster displacement of air that in turn generates more power.
